A lot of us get sucked into the ways of the culture or society. Shoot, I know I did! Maybe after switching majors, obtaining degrees, accruing mad student loan debt, overworking at your job, getting into a toxic relationship, following poor advice, or hitting rock bottom…you may have noticed that following the ways of our culture really isn’t all that '“LIT.”

There’s a reason why it says in Romans 12:2 (NLT) “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”

You see, as you get connected with God, He slowly works you into the image of Christ. What often gets missed is that people feel like they have to go through this process alone. We need the support of other believers. Romans 15:2 (NLT) states, “We should help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord.”

It is totally possible you haven’t had a safe place to grow as a believer. I know a lot of us, including me, have experienced “church hurt” because certain people within the church weren’t living the life that Christ called believers to live. I really hate that it drives people away from God and the church. So, I am hoping to make difference and that you will eventually join me in being the change that’s needed for this generation. Let’s join forces to build an awesome community of forward thinking, world-changing believers.

As you can see, the goal of the Misfit to Purpose platform is to empower the next generation to embrace their uniqueness by being who God called them to be and living that out authentically. We need people with different backgrounds, careers, education, knowledge, skills, gifts, and abilities. There are a little over 7 billion people on this planet, and most of them are searching and longing for something only Jesus can fulfill. As more believers get in line with God’s will, the more people we can reach and His will be done. I’m so excited about what God’s about to do through you and me!
